After suggesting the possibility that it might take legal action against Justin Timberlake , a foundation that campaigns against sexual violence is backing down.

The Take Back the Night foundation had initially suggested that it might take action against the singer because the organization's name happens also to be the title of Timberlake's latest single.

In a statement to BuzzFeed , Katherine Koestner , the executive director of the Take Back the Night, says, "We’re going to bow down gracefully, and accept that fighting this in court probably isn’t the best use of anyone’s time."  She adds, "It’s best to focus on the mission...it was shocking that an institution that goes back to 1973 went unnoticed by the likes of Justin Timberlake. It shows how much visibility we really need."

As previously reported, Justin acknowledged not knowing about the organization or its name before the release of the single last week, issuing a statement clarifying that the song has no association with the organization and supporting the organization's mission.

"Take Back the Night" will appear on his follow-up album to The 20/20 Experience , due out in September.
