After teasing it in a YouTube video earlier this week, Justin Timberlake has officially released “Take Back the Night.” It’s the first single off his new album, The 20/20 Experience -- 2 of 2 , which will be released September 30.
“Take Back the Night” is available now on iTunes and will become available soon on other digital outlets. You can listen to it now on JustinTimberlake.com .
If you pre-order The 20/20 Experience -- 2 of 2 on iTunes, you’ll receive an instant download of “Take Back the Night.” You can also pre-order The 20/20 Experience -- The Complete Experience , which includes the new tracks as well as those of the original 20/20 Experience album released back in March.
The track listing for The 20/20 Experience -- 2 of 2 has not yet been released, but the album will feature 11 songs plus “a special surprise from Justin.” He says in a statement, “I originally recorded a massive amount of material and decided on the 20 tracks that I wanted on the album over a year ago. But, when I was mixing and going through all of the songs there were so many that I loved -- I couldn't resist... I had to throw in something extra on the 2nd half."
The artwork for the new album is virtually the same as that of the original 20/20 Experience -- Justin looking into a phoropter, the device an eye doctor uses to test a patient's vision -- except the background and phoropter are black and gold, respectively, instead of white.
