Milwaukee Bucks General Manager John Hammond has been given a three year contract extension through the 2015-2016 season. Hammond joined the Bucks in April of 2008 and he was named the NBA's Executive of the Year after the 2010 season. A mid-season trade for John Salmons helped the Bucks to a 46-36 record and their only playoff appearance during Hammond's tenure. They were knocked out in the first round by the Atlanta Hawks in a seven game series. Last month, Hammond and head coach Scott Skiles mutually agreed to part ways. Interim coach Jim Boylan has gone 6-2 since. The Bucks are 22-18, three games behind Indiana in the Central Division and they stand in 7th place in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee returns to the floor Friday night in Cleveland against the Cavaliers.
