ARGYLE, WI (WSAU) - Cold weather is believed to be a factor in the weekend death of an Illinois woman near Argyle, Wisconsin. 77-year-old Mary Scudder from Freeport, Illinois was found Saturday evening about 30 feet from her car. Temperatures were in the teens and 20’s Saturday, and authorities believe exposure to the elements contributed to her death.
Family members reported Scudder missing Friday. They believe she was traveling to Superior.
The Lafayette County medical examiner is performing an autopsy to see if other factors may have helped cause her death.
