Earlier this week, a Fox executive said he'd be interested in having Britney Spears return to The X Factor next season. But according to TMZ.com , Brit has already made up her mind -- she's not coming back.

The website reports Britney is quitting the show and is turning her attention back to her music career, including her work on a new album as well as a possible tour. A source says, "Britney loves Simon [ Cowell ], she likes Demi Lovato but her thing is music."

Then again, Us Weekly recently reported that Britney was going to be fired from The X Factor . 

Britney joined the singing competition as a judge and mentor for its second season, reportedly earning 15 million dollars.
