MADISON, Wis. (WSAU) - The state of Wisconsin offers help to minority farmers of all ethnic backgrounds in areas like food safety, financial literacy and many other areas.
The Wisconsin Farm Center with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection helps those farmers find the resources available to help them find success. Wisconsin has large minority farmer concentrations near Eau Claire, Green Bay, La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee, the Fox Cities and Wausau.
Minority farmers who grow vegetables, herbs and flowers on rented land can access help in negotiating a beneficial lease agreement, among other types of aid.
