A big game in the Big East Monday night for the 19th ranked Marquette Golden Eagles. They took on 15th ranked Georgetown in Washington D.C. and got knocked out of a share of first place in the conference by falling to the Hoyas 63-55. Marquette played a sloppy first half, turning the ball over 12 times. It frustrated coach Buzz Williams to the point of getting a technical foul with his team down only three. Georgetown went on an 8-1 run and was never seriously challenged after that. Otto Porter Jr. led the Hoyas with 21 points. Jamil Wilson scored 13 for Marquette with Chris Otule adding 11. The Golden Eagles are now 17-6 on the season and 8-3 in conference play.
