GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - The cause of death for a Green Bay couple found deceased in their West side home in mid-January have been released.
Brown County Chief Medical Examiner Al Klimek says 49-year-old Michael Carroll died of natural causes related to heart issue and 52-year-old Kyung “Kim” McCoy committed suicide by taking pills.
Klimek says McCoy took her life two days after her husband died.
Green Bay Police opened a death investigation, because there were no immediate signs of how the couple died.
The couple apparently had just come back from a vacation, and Carroll did not show up for work for days. His employer became concerned and visited their home at 3125 West Point Road. After looking through the couple's bedroom window, their bodies were found lying on the bedroom floor on the morning of January 17th.
Neighbors say McCoy suffered from depression, and she was a native of Korea.
The couple bought their home in 1999.
Klimek says there is no suspicion of foul play.
