Brown Co. law enforcement agencies unveil online system for minor reports

BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - Law enforcement agencies across Brown County have launched an online web-based reporting system.

The Brown County Sheriff's Office, Villages of Hobart-Lawrence, De Pere Police Department, Ashwaubenon Public Safety, and the Brown County Public Safety Communications Center will launch an online web-based reporting system for minor reports.

In a press release, Brown County Sheriff's Captain David Konrath said the objective of this system is to provide an alternative to citizens in submitting a police report.

Cullen Peltier with the Brown County Public Safety Communications Center says some examples of minor reports include identity theft, lost property and vandalism.

Peltier says the system will help reduce call volume at the county's 911 center. Out of  the 30 thousand calls dispatchers receive each month, 25 thousand are administrative calls. He adds the online reporting system would give dispatchers more time to handle important calls.

The online reporting site is active. You can access it by clicking here.
