LUCAS, WI (WTAQ) - A father and son killed in a weekend highway crash in western Wisconsin have been identified as 57-year-old William Larrieu of Elmwood and 30-year-old Joshua Larrieu of Menomonie.
Dunn County sheriff’s deputies said a car driven by Joshua Larrieu crossed a center-line, and was hit on the passenger side by an eastbound SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a 52-year-old Menomonie woman, was taken to a hospital – and she was buckled up at the time. The crash happened just before midnight Saturday on Highway 29 in the town of Lucas.
Authorities said both men were not wearing seat belts, and alcohol appeared to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
