GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) - A man charged with causing a crash that severely injured a Green Bay police officer is headed to trial.
Ryan Rivard is charged with causing injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and reckless driving. He had his preliminary hearing in Brown County court Thursday.
Officer Tracy Liska was pulling out of the Kwik Trip parking lot on Lombardi Avenue when her squad car was hit at approximately 81 miles per hour.
Court documents show Liska suffered a broken collar bone, a broken ribs, and a punctured lung in the crash.
Rivard's arraignment is scheduled for September 20.
