(1440 WNFL AM - Jason Miller) - Second and Third round draft coverage of the Green Bay Packers 2013 NFL draft can be heard tonight with Mark Daniels on 1440 WNFL AM. Here is a look at where the Packers draft in the 2nd and 3rd rounds:
Second Round: 25 (55)
Third Round: 26 (88)
So what do you do if you are Ted Thompson? Here is one thing I learned from last night…never doubt a guy who has given you the players who are on this roster of the Green Bay Packers. Datone Jones, DE, UCLA Bruins …did you really know who that was last night when they called his name? He was on my radar, but not enough that I felt it necessary to put his picture on our Facebook page as a possible candidate for the Packers.
Everyone knew that it was either a D-lineman or an O-lineman. Only way it was an O-lineman was if someone fell in the draft like a brick. That didn’t happen so D-lineman was a no brainer. Ogletree fell, Sylvester Williams was there and Ted Thompson saw all that and picked Datone Jones. He already is better than Reynolds and Justin Harrell and he hasn’t even put on a Packers jersey.
So where do they go tonight? I say O-Lineman and RB, not in that order but if Ted sees fit then I’m good, but if he sees fit to draft a CB and a Safety, then we find out all we can about those players and hope for the best.
I leave you with this, as you watch or listen to the 2nd and 3rd round coverage of tonight’s draft…if it were easy and a science, everyone would be doing it.
Enjoy the draft everyone, just enjoy it!
