WEST ALLIS, WI (WTAQ) - The West Allis woman whose three children died in a fire grew up in a home marked by fatal child abuse.
24-year-old Angelica Belen’s children were left alone, locked in a room, when the house burned.
When she was 3-years-old in 1992, her little sister was found beaten and starved to death in her crib. That 17-month-old girl weighed less than 10 pounds when she was found.
An autopsy showed she had a broken leg, four broken ribs and bleeding in her brain.
Belen’s mother went to prison. Now, Belen faces 3 felony charges are child neglect resulting in death.
