ALLOUEZ, WI (WTAQ) - The wife of Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney made a brief appearance Tuesday morning in Allouez.
Speaking to supporters at the Green Bay Victory Center on South Webster Avenue, Ann Romney talked about the need to help out those affected by Sandy.
"This is a time for America to unite," says Romney. "It's wonderful, whenever there's a crisis in this country, what do we all do, we put aside party, we put our arms together and we solve problems."
Mrs. Romney urged people to bottled water, non-perishable food items and blankets at campaign centers to those affected by Superstorm Sandy. She also asked people to donate blood, as well as money, to the Red Cross.
Ann Romney's visit comes a day after her husband, Mitt Romney, cancelled his planned campaign visit to the State Fair Grounds in West Allis. It also is ahead of GOP Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan's appearance in Ashwaubenon on Wednesday.
