TOWN OF STEPHENSON, WI (WTAQ) - Authorities say a 59-year-old Oconto County man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday.

It happened on Parkway Road near County X in the town of Stephenson around 1:10 a.m.

Marinette County Sheriff's say Michael Bessey’s vehicle left the road, hit a sign and a tree.

Sheriff’s deputies, Twin Bridge Rescue and the Stephenson Fire Department responded to the scene.

This is Marinette County’s 12th traffic fatality in 2012.
