You know the year is drawing to a close when search engines start revealing their "most-searched" people and things of 2012.  First up is Bing , which tells us that the most-searched musician of 2012 is -- guess who? -- Justin Bieber .  That's not surprising, considering he's also the second most-searched person overall of 2012, after Kim Kardashian .

The second most-searched musician of 2012 is Whitney Houston -- also unsurprising, given her tragic death back in February.  Katy Perry is third on the list, followed by Selena Gomez , Rihanna , Nicki Minaj , Taylor Swift , Beyonce , Chris Brown and Jennifer Lopez .

When it comes to the most searched-for songs of 2012, PSY's "Gangnam Style" is tops, and you could probably reel the rest off pretty easily.  "Call Me Maybe" is next, followed by "Boyfriend," "Somebody That I Used to Know," "We Are Young" and "What Makes You Beautiful."  Also in the top 10: "Payphone," "Glad You Came" and "Part of Me."
