Welcome to Air New Zealand, the official carrier for all flights to Middle Earth. For all hobbits, elves, goblins, and orcs making the trip home to the Shire before the premiere of Peter Jackson's newest epic, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the lord of the rings himself has helped the airline company craft a new in-flight safety video to let all of its passengers know the way of the skies.
If you needed any more proof that New Zealand is in serious like with the films that made them a real-life J.R.R. Tolkien universe, this should solidify it. The flight teamwhich really seems to embrace equal opportunity employment, being that the plane is helmed by wizards and elvesreally emphasizes the friendliness of the open skies (except for that pesky Gollumhow on earth does he have a passport?) by letting everyone know the proper safety procedures. It even features Jackson, with the one ring to rule them all. It's all pretty adorable and wonderful, further proving that the rest of the world could probably do well by being a little bit more like the magical islands of New Zealand.
Part one of the three-part epic, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, lands in theaters on December 14, 2012.
