MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) - The Manitowoc County coroner says alcohol might have been a factor in the death of a 24-year-old man whose body was found Sunday in Lake Michigan.
Coroner Curtis Green said there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body of Jesse Neuser.
Rescuers from the Coast Guard and the Manitowoc Fire Department found the body near the city’s car ferry dock.
Green said Neuser had not been reported missing, and he was apparently not in the lake for more than 36 hours.
The Fond du Lac County medical examiner’s office performed an autopsy – but the cause of death has not been finalized, pending further investigation and toxicology test results.
