APPLETON, WI (WTAQ) - A big opportunity for the Fox Cities Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign and it could break the national record of a match-day event by raising a $250,000 dollars in the single day. 

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is pledging to match dollar for dollar all donations collected on November 30^th up to $125,000.

Robb Waugus with the Salvation Army says this is the ninth year Thrivent has stepped up with the match day, starting originally at $25,000. 

Waugus says the generosity of the Fox Cities with their time and treasure has been incredible over the years.
