Alicia Keys will be in an "Empire State of Mind" on December 12, when she and some of music's most legendary performers take the stage Wednesday, December 12 in New York City for a huge benefit concert.
Dubbed 12.12.12: The Concert for Sandy Relief , the one-night-only event at Madison Square Garden boasts a lineup that includes Alicia and Kanye West , as well as Paul McCartney , Billy Joel , Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band , The Who , Pink Floyd's Roger Waters , and Jon Bon Jovi . It's being produced by the same folks who brought you the 9/11 benefit show, The Concert for New York City .
Proceeds from the event will go to the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which is providing money, materials and information to charitable organizations in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area that are helping assist the families and areas hit hardest by the storm.
The show will also be telecast, but those details are not yet available. Ticket information will be released in the coming days.
