MILWAUKEE (Metro Source/WTAQ) - Both President Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney are working hard to round up votes this weekend.

During campaign stops in Dubuque, Iowa Saturday, Romney chided Obama for a comment the President made in Springfield, Ohio on Friday.  Obama told a crowd "voting's the best revenge."  Romney told supporters on Saturday he finds the use of the word revenge "troubling."  At an airport event, Romney said while Obama is asking his supporters to vote for revenge "I'm asking you to vote for love of country."

President Obama hosted a campaign rally in Mentor, Ohio Saturday morning, jumped to Milwaukee, Wisconsin then to Dubuque in the afternoon. His final appearance of the day was in Bristow, Virginia.

Singer Katy Perry fired up a crowd of over 10,000 supporters at the Delta Convention Center ahead of President Obama's appearance.

"You excited to see the president speak? Isn't it exciting?" said Perry.

President Obama made it a point of condemning political gridlock.

"I will work with anybody of any party to move country forward. And if you really want to break the gridlock in Congress, you'll vote for leaders who feel the same way, whether they're Democrats, Republicans, Independents, people who put you first, who put the American people first. Not elections first, or partisan advantage first, or special interest first, or big money contributors first or SuperPACS first," said Obama.

Romney started his day in Dubuque then hopped to Colorado Springs, Colorado and finally to Englewood, Colorado. The closing arguments continue Sunday.
