ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) - Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson says he will donate $100,000 to the American Red Cross in order to help out families affected by Superstorm Sandy along the Eastern seaboard.

Speaking at Austin Straubel International Airport before President Barack Obama's campaign appearance, Woodson talked about being grateful for the sense of community that allows the Packers to thrive. That's why he says he wants to give back to other communities that are hurting.

Woodson also praised President Obama for putting politics aside to help out with storm relief efforts, including touring affected areas in New Jersey with Republican Governor Chris Christie.
