UNDATED (WSAU) Long time Packers play-by-play broadcaster Jim Irwin has died. He was the voice of Packers radio broadcasts from 1969 to 1998.
Irwin had been in poor health in recent years, suffering from kidney cancer. He died at his home in California on Sunday.
Irwin was a member of the Packers hall-of-fame, and was a 10-time winner of the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association sportscaster of the year award. He also broadcast Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Bucks games.
Irwin was 77. Funeral arrangements are pending.
