GREEN LAKE, WI (WTAQ) - Green Lake County sheriff's officials say a man was rescued Friday after falling into Green Lake.
Authorities say it happened on the east side of the lake near County Highway A.
The man's wife called 911 saying her husband was in the water, according to sheriff's officials. About 3 minutes later authorities arrived on scene, then pulled the man from the icy water.
Authorities say after the man fell into the water, he called his wife using a cell phone. He was able to keep his head above water by hanging onto an equipment sled.
The man estimates he was in the water for 15 minutes before being rescued. He was transported to Ripon Medical Center for evaluation.
