The Wisconsin Badgers not only salvaged their season after losing three straight games in the Big Ten early in the conference schedule, they've soared nearly to the top of the conference standings.  20th ranked Wisconsin defeated Penn State on the road Tuesday night 52-46 despite shooting just 35 percent from the floor.  The victory pulls the Badgers into momentarily sole posession of second place in the Big Ten with a 7-3 record, a half game better than both Michigan and Michigan State, upset at Illinois Tuesday 42-41.   The Badgers couldn't put away the Nitnay Lions until they made 7 of 10 free throws in the closing minutes.  Jordan Taylor led Wisconsin with 18 points, Ryan Evans added 11. Wisconsin now stands 18-5 overall and is one game behind Ohio State and the Badgers host the Buckeyes in a huge game at the Kohl Center on Saturday.
