MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) - A 44-year-old Manitowoc woman convicted of drunk driving and killing three members of a family who were in a yard has been sentenced to six years in prison.
Becky Holly pleaded no contest to charges back in September and was sentenced to six years in prison and given 15-years extended supervision in Manitowoc County Court Thursday.
Holly addressed the court saying she is not a bad person but did a horrible thing.
Prosecutors say her blood alcohol limit was twice the legal limit to drive at the time of the crash in October of 2011.
Holly was driving her minivan with her 6-year-old son in the back, when she veered off the road hitting and killing 78-year-old Lawrence Gerroll, his wife, 75-year-old Lou Ann, and their daughter 48-year-old Joan Gerroll.
The state was requesting 20-years in prison and 20-years extended supervision.
