MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) - A Manitowoc County man is scheduled to be sentenced March 15th, after he was convicted of killing a bicyclist while driving drunk.

A jury found 41-year-old Dean Koenig guilty of homicide by OWI.  

Authorities say Wayne Scharenboch was wearing a reflective vest and a helmet so he could be seen while cycling on an April night in 2010.

Attorneys said Koenig knew he hit something – but he thought it was a deer, so he didn’t stop.
