To reach the NFL mandated roster limit of 75 players Monday, the Packers waived two players, put a pair of the physically unable to perform list and loaded up their injured reserve list with six more players. Green Bay released four year veteran Jarius Wynn, the defensive end was a sixth round pick out of Georgia in 2009. Also cut was free agent fullback Jon Hoese of Minnesota. Heading to the PUP list were linebacker Frank Zombo and tight end Andrew Quarless. They won't be eligible to return until after the first six weeks of the regular season. Placed on IR was linebacker Desmond Bishop, coming off surgery to repair a hamstring tear suffered in the Pre-Season opener in San Diego. Joining him on the season ending injured reserve are undrated free agents, receiver Shaky Smithson, tight end DeMarco Cosby, guard Rey Dominguez, defensive lineman Johnny Jones and running back Du'ane Bennett. Those five are candidates to be released after they get healthy and receive injury settlements. The Packers will have 22 more cuts to make after Thursday night's Pre-Season finale against the Kansas City Chiefs at Lambeau Field to reach the regular season roster limit of 53 players.
