HOUSTON (WTAQ) - The Milwaukee Brewers have lost 10 road games in a row for the first time in 20 years.
Friday’s loss was a bitter 4-3 defeat as Houston rallied for 2 runs in the 9th inning to come from behind, 4-3.
An RBI single by Brian Bogusevic ended the Astros’ five-game losing streak and was the team’s first walk-off win in more than 10 months. Houston has tasted victory just 5 times in its last 39 games.
Houston trailed 3-2 entering the ninth and Brett Wallace walked to lead off. Pinch-runner Tyler Greene stole second and made it to third on John Axford’s wild pitch. Steve Pearce’s single tied it and he was knocked in by Bogusevic.
Axford took the loss on his 8th blown save of the season.
Ryan Braun had doubled in the first run for Milwaukee. Rickie Weeks had 3 doubles.
