HOLLAND, MI (WHTC News) - The last vestiges of a skate park at the former Lincoln Park site off of 9th Street and Columbia Avenue were removed by Holland city workers yesterday. Officials said that, although every effort was made to keep the park open while a new, more modern facility near Smallenburg Park was being built, the condition of the apparatus deteriorated to a point that it was no longer safe for use. The new skate park is expected to open in about a month as part of a renovation project that included transferring the Lincoln Park site to Hope College.
