CHILTON, WI (WTAQ) - A judge has ruled that Brian Eklund isn't competent to stand trial for allegedly killing his mother - and likely won't regain competency anytime soon.

His mother, Cynthia Bache, was killed in 2008.

Deputies found her dead with multiple stab wounds in her Town of Harrison home. The criminal case will be suspended.

Calumet County's corporation counsel will file to have the 41-year-old Eklund civilly committed to a mental health facility.
