EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A 31 year old St. Paul woman has been ordered to have no physical contact with her boyfriend.

Eau Claire County deputies were called to a home in the town of Wilson early Friday morning.

When they arrived, Wilson told them his girlfriend, Megina Bruton, had grabbed a knife and started stabbing him while they were arguing. He was able to get the knife away from her.

She reportedly tried to drive away, but stopped, saying she didn’t want to drive drunk. Then, she is accused of pouring lamp oil on the living room carpet and starting a fire.

Bruton made a court appearance in Eau Claire last Friday, a few hours after the incident.
