ASHLAND, Wis (WSAU) A 22-year-old woman tried to set herself on fire after speeding away from a traffic stop in Ashland.

Police got a phone call on Tuesday about a suicidal woman, and found her in an SUV. She sped away. Police discontinued the chase because of safety concerns. The SUV eventually stopped after running over road spikes.

Police tried to talk the woman out of the vehicle. Instead she doused herself with lighter fluid, and tried to set herself on fire. Police puller her out and rolled her in the snow. She's now being held for a mental health evaluation.
