MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - The Lake Express car ferry across Lake Michigan will be down for as long as ten days, while a failed engine gets replaced.
The ferry takes vehicles and passengers from Milwaukee to Muskegon Michigan – and its operators hope to have it running again by August fourth.
The ferry has four engines. It can run on three, but the company said it decided over the weekend to replace the fourth one now. The work is underway.
Ticket-holders for the missed rides can either have them replaced for future dates or get refunds
