GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Some Cheeseheads appeared to be saving for this moment.
A rush is on to get tickets, rooms, and transportation to Dallas – where the Green Bay Packers will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV on February 6th.
Packer Fan Tours is offering a four-night package for about $5,600 a person that includes airfare, a hotel room for up to 4 people, an end zone seat to the game, and more.
Fan Tours’ president Dennis Garrity called the demand “overwhelming.” He said an early round of Super Bowl packages sold out within 3 days on Saturday – even though we didn’t know until Sunday evening the Packers would make the Big Game.
Packer Fan Tours is also offering a one-day flight that Garrity says is fairly popular.
If you’re just looking for tickets, the cheapest on Stub Hub is $2,700, and $3,200 on the NFL’s official Ticket Exchange from Ticketmaster. Other Wisconsin outlets expect to get tickets Monday.
The face values of the tickets run from $800 to $1,200. Packers’ season ticket holders entered a lottery for the team’s allocation. They had to pay by last Wednesday.
