GREEN BAY, Wis (WSAU) Not everyone in Green Bay supports a proposal to rename a street in honor of Packers coach Mike McCarthy. Some say despite the Super Bowl win, it's too soon to give him the honor. Others are worried about the cost.
A Green Bay law firm is offering to pay for the change. Metzler, Timm, Treleven, Pahl and Beck will donate $5,000 to the city to cover the cost of ordering and installing new street signs. It's unclear if the city will accept the offer -- it would need city council approval. Mayor Jim Schmitt's spokesman says the dollar amount would be enough to cover the city's costs.
