GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Packers fans are crowding the frigid, snow-lined streets of Green Bay to welcome their world champions back home.
The Packers are back in Titletown after emerging victorious in a close but decisive Super Bowl XLV against the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25.
Kids in the Green Bay School District got early released in order to attend Monday's celebration.
The Packers team charter touched down at about 1:40 p.m., then the players, coaches and staff boarded a fleet of buses and headed down to Packerland Drive, over to Hazelwood Lane, which becomes Lombardi Avenue all the way to 1265 Lombardi.
The viewing of the motorcade by thousands of Packers fans will be the only public appearance by the team Monday. On Tuesday, the Return to Titletown event will be held at Lambeau Field, starting at 4 p.m.
