IXONIA, WI (WTAQ) - An Oconomowoc man was killed when an Amtrak passenger train collided with his pickup truck in Jefferson County.

Sheriff’s officials said 44-year-old Michael Dragan was going down a private driveway near Ixonia when his pickup crossed the tracks and was hit by Amtrak’s Empire Builder.

The train was heading from Chicago to Seattle, and none of the 326 passengers on board were injured.

Amtrak officials said the train was stopped for about 4 hours while the crash was being investigated.
