RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - A 94-year-old Sturtevant woman was hospitalized in serious condition Tuesday afternoon, after the car she was driving struck a house.

Racine Police said the woman was approaching an intersection when her vehicle accelerated, hit a concrete barrier, and then slammed into the front of a house.

It happened around 9:20 this morning. The woman is from Sturtevant.

Police said she had serious injuries. No one in the house was hurt. The crash is under investigation.
