Teen killed in Amberg fire ID'ed, fund set up

MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ) - A 15-year-old girl who died in a Marinette County house fire has been identified.

Authorities say Alana Luczak was killed in the Town of Amberg fire.

She was found just before 6 a.m. Thursday on County Highway K.

Fire officials say Alana’s father, Joseph suffered a burn to his leg and smoke inhalation. He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be released.

Alana’s mother, her 18-year-old brother and family friend all escaped without injury.

Alana would have been a sophomore at Pembine High School this fall.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire, but believe it may have been electrical. No foul play is suspected.

A fund has been set up to help the family. If you would like to make a donation you can drop off your donation at any branch or send it to:
