UNDATED (WSAU) Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says he’ll make good today on a bet he lost with Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker.
Quinn will deliver Illinois food products and other items to a food bank in Kenosha – and he’ll wear a Green Bay Packers’ jersey while doing it.
The two governors bet on January’s N-F-C Championship football game, in which the Packers beat the Bears in Chicago to advance to the Super Bowl.
Quinn fulfilled part of the bet when he flew a Packer flag outside his office for a day. And he was planning to deliver the food in February. But he delayed his trip because Wisconsinites were pre-occupied with the protests over the state law that limits public union bargaining. Walker got impatient last month, and he went to Kenosha to tell Governor Quinn to pay up on his bet.
