NEW YORK (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers keep adding bodies for the offense in the NFL draft. The Packers took Hawaii running back Alex Green in the third round. He's six feet tall and 220 pounds, rushing last season for almost 12 hundred yards and offering a big threat catching passes out of the backfield. The Packer also selected Kentucky wide receiver Randall Cobb in the second round. Green Bay had taken Mississippi State offensive tackle Derek Sherrod in Thursday's first round.
The Wisconsin Badgers were so strong last season it shouldn't be a surprise to see the team's players going on to the NFL. After defensive lineman J.J. Watt was taken by the Houston Texans in the first round, Seattle selected Wisconsin guard John Moffitt yesterday. He was the 75th pick of the draft. The St. Louis Rams took tight end Lance Kendricks with the 47th selection.
