KALAMAZOO -- Kalamazoo got a visit from the top of the State’s GOP Ticket last evening. Gubernatorial front-runner Rick Snyder brought his campaign to downtown Kalamazoo last night where he received a warm welcome from about 100 people at the City Center.
it was Snyder’s 56th town hall forum, his second in Kalamazoo. He says “job one” is to get rid of the Michigan Business tax, and he also wants to get rid of a lot of the state’s regulators, saying that’s not what the state should be doing. He says he wants to reinvent Michigan and says it will take everyone working together to do it.
Outside four protestors in cow suits…wearing the kind of cow spots that used to adorn gateway Computer boxes, protested that company’s outsourcing of jobs overseas. Inside Snyder says he learned valuable lessons at Gateway. Snyder denies the outsourcing happened during his watch but democrats claim otherwise.
