GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - A 12-year-old Green Bay girl is being credited with saving children from a house fire Saturday.

Fire crews get the call to 505 South Quincy Street on the city's east side around 1:20 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, Shaundra Howard was able to get herself out along with alerting and evacuating others, including several children in the two-story home.

It took fire crews about 10 minutes to put out the blaze in the kitchen and back part of the house. Damage to the home is estimated at $65,000. The cause remains under investigation.
