Packers Put Tauscher On IR, Career May Be Over

GREEN BAY, Wis (WSAU) The Green Bay Packers placed offensive tackle Mark Tauscher on the injured reserve list on Friday ending his season and possibly his Packer career. Tauscher hasn't played since injuring his shoulder in the Detroit game back on week 4 and his replacement Bryan Bulaga has played well in his absence.

The Auburndale native is the 11th Packer player placed on IR this season. He had signed a two-year contract in March. His salary jumps next season and it  is unlikely the team would bring him back at that price coming off an injury.

To replace Tauscher on the roster the team signed free agent Spencer Havner. The linebacker-tight-end and played for the Packers but was released during training camp. He was recently released by the Lions.
