GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Piece by piece, investigators are working to solve the puzzle of Green Bay's massive fire last Friday.
"It's a methodical process of elimination," said Green Bay Fire Captain Chris Heil. "We start with everything on the table from arson to accidental."
Heil says investigators got to go through what's left of the building on Chestnut and Walnut streets for the first time Tuesday.
Of high importance right now, is finding a video recorder that was in the building, which could be key to finding the cause.
Another important task for investigators...
"Assessing how the walls are in here, as far as collapse zones and the safety of the investigator," Heil said.
More of the building is expected to be taken down Wednesday to make it a safer environment to work in. Inspectors hope to wrap up their work by the end of this week.
