GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - It was an all-around beat down, as the Green Bay Packers (6-3) scored 28 straight 2nd quarter points on their way to a 45-7 win over the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field Sunday.
Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a tremendous night, finishing 27-of-34 for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns. James Jones was his big target in the win, finishing with 8 catches for 123 yards and 1 TD.
The green and gold defense continued their great play, causing 3 Cowboys (1-7) turnovers, including a 62 yard interception return for a touchdown by linebacker Clay Matthews. Matthews added 3 tackles, and another sack, giving him 10-and-a-half on the season, leading the NFL.
