GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - Green Bay fire crews dealing with a west side blaze.
It broke out around 4 p.m. Friday in an apartment directly above a liquor store called Super Saver Liquor, on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut streets.
Firefighters say they're currently pumping 1,000 gallons a minute on the blaze. One person had to be taken to the hospital; there is no word on their condition.
The owner of the building says there are 8 units inside and that the unit where the fire started is where a tenant was supposed to move out Friday because he wasn't able to pay October's rent.
The owner wasn’t at the building at the time and isn’t sure what the cause is, but indicates the building is worth around $650,000.
Walnut has been blocked off in the area to help battle the fire. Avoid the area if you can.
