GREEN BAY, Wis. (WTAQ) - It's not a new face, but it is an important one. The Green Bay Packers have retained left tackle Chad Clifton by signing him to a three-year, $20 million contract. The 33-year-old offensive lineman had spoken to the Redskins, but decided to stay in Green Bay. Despite the 3-year deal, Clifton may be a starter for only one. The Packers are expected to try to find a left tackle in the NFL draft. Clifton isn't as dominant as he once was, but he is very steady. The team also released safety Matt Giordano and defensive end Michael Montgomery.
