SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WTAQ) - The Coast Guard has suspended its search for a Milwaukee teenager who’s missing and presumed drowned in Lake Michigan off Sheboygan.

Other agencies kept looking Tuesday for 19-year-old Kristopher Kane. He and 2 friends were swimming on Monday afternoon near the Edgewater Power Plant in Sheboygan.

Officials said Kane was about 150 yards from the shore when he walked off a sandbar, and was pulled by an under-current into deep water. Kane was visiting friends and relatives at nearby Cascade.

He’s the third person this summer to drown in the Sheboygan waters of Lake Michigan.
